[0:00] I Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. I can feel His mighty power and His grace.

[0:46] I can hear the brush of angels' wings. I see glory on each face. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.

[1:05] Hi and welcome to Pendleton Center Church. We are the Chancel Choir. If you're new to our church, please pick up a welcome folder that's at the connection site or the welcome and information desk.

[1:18] We'd like to know you are here, so everyone, please put your name on the friendship card you'll find in the bulletin. If you would like to receive the church newsletter or need an update of any information, please be sure to fill out your address, email, and phone number.

[1:35] On the back, you can write prayer concerns, blessings, or notes to the staff. Please enjoy our service and have a blessed day. Good morning. This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

[1:52] This is the day that the Lord has made.

[2:09] Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made.

[2:23] Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day. This is the day that the Lord has made.

[2:38] Shall we pray together? Dear God in heaven, pour out your Holy Spirit, a powerful presence of God into this place. Breathe into us the presence of God, that we might worship you, that we might experience you, that we might love you.

[2:51] In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. I'd like to invite you, if you're able to stand, as we're going to sing together, There's Within My Heart a Melody. She's not here.

[3:03] There's Within My Heart a Melody.

[3:17] Jesus' whispers sweet and low. Fear not, I am with thee. Peace be still. In all of my steps and flow.

[3:29] Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know. Fills my every longing.

[3:45] Keeps me singing as I go. All my life was wrecked by sin and strife. Discord filled my heart with pain.

[3:58] Jesus' name, Jesus, Jesus, swept across the broken strings. Stirred the stumbling chords again. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know.

[4:17] Fills my every longing. Keeps me singing as I go. Though sometimes He leads through waters deep.

[4:32] Trials fall across the way. Though sometimes the path seems rough and steep. See His footprints all the way.

[4:46] Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Sweetest name I know. Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know. Fills my every longing.

[5:00] Keeps me singing as I go. Feasting on the riches of His grace.

[5:10] Resting near the sheltering wing. Always looking on His smiling face. Always looking on His smiling face. That is why I shout and sing.

[5:24] Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Sweetest name I know. Fills my every longing.

[5:38] Keeps me singing as I go. The Lord be with you. And also with you. Please be seated. I'd like to invite our lay leader, Adrian Fulby, up and the family of Kendall Mary Slatt.

[6:07] Brothers and sisters in Christ, We celebrate the new birth by water and the Spirit through the sacrament of baptism as we become members of Christ's Holy Church.

[6:20] On behalf of the church, I present Kendall Mary Slatt for baptism. All right. We have, come on up here. Yes, oh yes.

[6:31] Do you have sponsors? Please come. Come. Yeah, it's kind of cool looking from out here, up here, isn't it?

[6:43] Yeah, see? Everybody's here. I have some questions for our parents. Do you reject the evil powers of this world, repent of your sin, and accept the freedom and power God gives you to resist Satan?

[7:00] Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and promise to serve as Christ's representative through faithful participation in his church? Will you nurture this child in Christ's Holy Church by teaching an example, lead her to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior?

[7:23] Sponsors. Will you who sponsor this child support and encourage her in her Christian faith? Congregation.

[7:34] Will you, as the Church of Christ, renew your own vows of commitment to Christ and accept your responsibility to assist these parents in fulfilling their vows?

[7:47] If so, say, we will. We will. That's a really good affirmative. Did you hear that? They're on your side. This is awesome. All right. Let's go on up here.

[7:58] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hi. Adrian, you want to hold this for me?

[8:11] Thank you. And bring it over here. Lord, bless this water as a symbol of your sanctifying and renewing grace. As you have used water to bless the saints of history, let it now bless your child.

[8:28] Pour out your Holy Spirit on this gift of water to bless this child with your grace that leads to eternal life. Help us know that as we die to this world, we become alive to Christ and share in his final victory over sin and death.

[8:46] You ready? Come on up. Here we go. Kendall Mary Slatt. Let's go this way. Ready? I baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

[9:07] May the Holy Spirit work within you and bring you to a place where you know Jesus and have Jesus in your heart. Amen. Amen. Amen. Can we greet this new member of our church?

[9:22] Isn't she a blessing? Amen. They got all kinds of stuff here too. Praise God.

[9:48] Praise God. Thank you so much. Thank you. It is always a joy and a blessing to have our children come up and our families get so excited about Jesus and so excited about following in the faith and serving God.

[10:10] We have a couple of announcements. The clipboards that went around have to do with VBS volunteers. Vacation Bible School is another way we minister to our children and I'll bet you that Kendall's going to be at VBS this year.

[10:22] I'll bet you. We're having a chicken barbecue to support the youth mission trip. That's another clipboard that's going around. We need your help with that. There's a youth car wash today but there's no hot dog sale so if you're looking for hot dogs go to Ted's but stop at the car wash first.

[10:38] Okay. There are tickets for the chicken barbecue available at the welcome desk and on the 17th which is two weeks from today at 10.30 in the morning there is going to be a short charge conference for the officers of the church and yeah and yes Pastor Tom anybody else or just officers?

[11:02] Anybody who's members and whatnot you all can come. It's a short conference there's a decision that has to be made about the church and we have to announce two weeks in advance according to the book of discipline that that meeting is going to be happening so you all can hear about it.

[11:17] Okay. And folks who are in the leadership of the church need to be there. What joys do you have? I know you have some. Yes.

[11:31] Sister-in-law with successful surgery. Amen. What a blessing that is. Others? Pastor Lisa was commissioned at annual conference yesterday. Amen. It's an important step in ministry and we're so proud of her.

[11:44] I just want to make sure you all know and next week we're going to have a celebration in between the services of her ministry and by the way that short meeting it's not a big secret but Pastor Lisa is going to be working a few more hours and we have to officially approve it.

[11:57] It shouldn't take very long so just so that you know that but we do celebrate with her and next week we're going to officially celebrate this step in her ministry. Amen. Thank you Pastor Tom.

[12:08] That's a blessing. Other joys? I know you have them. Yes. Judy's son's cancer surgery was successful. Amen.

[12:18] Praise God. Praise God. Do we have any others this morning? Yes. Yes. A friend of ours received lungs several years ago got a bad infection and had to go to New York City.

[12:33] He came home Friday. He's with a caregiver on oxygen and IV but he is getting better and he's asking that prayer would bring him to the best health that he can possibly have.

[12:45] Amen. Amen. So things are going well for this for Fred? Frank. Frank. For Frank. Things are going well for Frank who's had lung surgery had an infection but things are going better.

[12:57] Pray for Frank for a full recovery and the best that God has got for him. Any others that we're lifting up? Yes Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol.

[13:08] Carol. Carol. For anniversaries and marriages that last and last we need to pray don't we? We need to keep in prayer always for our families and for marriages.

[13:22] Any other joys this morning? Yes. Amen. Carol came home from the hospital. That is also that is also a blessing.

[13:33] Alright. With these joys and the rest of the joys that we're going to lift up to the Lord let's bring our gifts tithes and offerings offering them with joy as well. Amen? Amen.

[13:43] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[14:06] Amen. Amen. Going to lay down my burden Down by the river sin Down by the river sin Down by the river sin Going to lay down my burden Down by the river sin Down by the river sin The river sine I ain't got to study war no more I'm by the riverside, the riverside Thank you.

[15:35] Oh, it's me, it's me, oh Lord, I'm standing in the ground. It's me, it's me, oh Lord, I'm standing in the ground.

[15:55] I'm going to lay down my sword and shield down by the riverside. Down by the riverside, down by the riverside.

[16:12] Down by the storm and shield, down by the riverside. Down by the riverside, down by the river.

[16:27] Down by the river, it's me, it's me, oh Lord. Down by the river, it's me, it's me, oh Lord.

[16:45] Down by the river, it's me, oh Lord. cuerpo. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow.

[17:05] Praise Him, all preachers, dearly all. Praise Him, above the heavenly host.

[17:16] Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

[17:29] Dear Heavenly Father, we give you thanks and praise for all of the gifts that you bless us with each and every day. You are the reason we have all we have. You are the reason we are the good people you have called us to be.

[17:43] Everything that is good in us has come from you. Lord, we lift up this offering to you this day as well. We ask you to bless it. Give us wisdom to know how to best use it for the furtherance of your kingdom.

[17:59] And help us, Lord, to remember to pour out the blessings you have given us into the lives of people wherever we go. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

[18:11] Please be seated. Amen. And we do have a couple of concerns to bring before the body.

[18:22] Ten-year-old Gavin, we've been asked to pray for him. He's from Lewiston, and he's had a foot partially amputated. He's needing surgery. Lauren Earl is going home from rehab on Monday, which is a joy, but also we're in prayer and continuing in prayer for him as he recovers and is strengthened by the grace of God.

[18:44] And I heard this morning that we need to pray for the family and friends, the teachers and classmates of a girl named Megan from Amherst Middle School.

[18:56] She committed suicide. We need to pray for them, for all of these folks who are affected by this loss. What other concerns do you have to bring before the body today?

[19:09] Yes. Yes. Um, Krippi, by the name of Adelaine, she was born at one pound of three ounces. She's been about seven or eight weeks doing well with some setbacks, but Jesus keeps carrying through all the setbacks.

[19:24] She's been a family that will be. Amen. Amen. Prayers for healing for this child. What others? Other concerns this morning? Yes. Fever that won't break?

[19:40] We're going to keep that in our prayers. Thank you so much. Yes. A friend of mine had a brain aneurysm. Brain aneurysm. Yes. Okay. Thank you.

[19:50] Thank you. We'll pray for that. Any others this morning? Yes. Yes. Okay.

[20:03] Father's cancer has spread to the lungs and we need to be in prayer for this. This is looking like it's moving. And so we will pray. We will lift that up as well. Any others this morning?

[20:16] Yes. Yes. So more cancer spreading with family members.

[20:27] Oh Lord we just pray in Jesus name that cancer be defeated. I have one of my colleagues who was also commissioned yesterday. Her name is Missy.

[20:38] You can keep Missy lifted up. She is having surgery for a brain tumor on Tuesday. And we want to lift her up as well. Any other concerns? To be voiced?

[20:49] No? Okay. Well we know we have concerns on our hearts as well. Whether you join me at the rail or in your seat. Let's turn to the Lord in prayer. Let's turn to the Lord in prayer. Gracious Heavenly Father.

[21:07] Creator of all things. The one who knows what we need before we even ask. The one who seeks only to bless.

[21:19] All of those who have been created. We lift up these concerns to you now. We trust that you will touch these people.

[21:32] Who have been mentioned and those who have not been mentioned Lord. But who we hold in our hearts. We pray in Jesus name that those who are sick would recover.

[21:47] Those kinds of maladies like cancers and aneurysms and all sorts of other issues. Lord God you know how our bodies work.

[22:00] And we pray. That each and every one. That we are holding in prayer this day. Would have a touch from you that would bring their bodies back to the functioning that you intend for them.

[22:14] We pray for doctors and nurses and family members and caregivers. We pray for patience and for wisdom.

[22:27] For knowledge and expertise that far exceeds anything that could be learned or come from the experiences of this life. We pray that they will be touched by you.

[22:40] And know from you. What to do. And how to do it. We pray Lord God for those who are grieving losses.

[22:54] And Lord we know that all losses are hard. But some losses. Those that come suddenly. Those that come tragically. They shock us in a way that.

[23:09] We sometimes just don't know what to do with. We ask in Jesus name that you would be with each and every one who is grieving. Each and every one who is trying to understand and make sense of the losses in their lives.

[23:29] We ask Lord. For a touch of grace from you. That they would feel comfort and compassion. That they would be drawn up into your arms of love.

[23:44] And know and understand that you are the one who cares for them. And that you are caring for their loved one as well. And pray Lord God for all of the circumstances that are going on in this world.

[24:01] The struggles and the strife. The violence and the terror. We lift it all before you and say help us Lord. We are turning to you in prayer.

[24:14] Heal us Lord. Lord. Bring us to a place of redemption. Lord we know that we have to be the ones.

[24:28] Who are changing. If we want to see change in this world. The change needs to begin with us. Each and every one of us who calls on your name. Each and every one of us who is moving on.

[24:39] To becoming more and more like Jesus. By becoming so we will be able to help.

[24:50] In ways that you have called us to help. So use this worship service Lord God. Use the music and the prayer. The singing.

[25:01] The message. The word of God coming forth. All of these things Lord God. Use them to wash over us and to transform us.

[25:19] Let us be a blessing to you. As we bless each other and the world. Let our worship. Be honorable in your sight.

[25:32] We offer it to you. From our hearts in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. You are glory. Amen. Lucky.

[25:55] Father. Glory. Glory. Son. Glory.

[26:05] 601. Glory. Glorious, glorious over us You shall reign glorious We lift our hands in praise to You We lift our hearts in worship to You, Lord We lift our voice to You and sing Our greatest love will ever be

[27:06] You, Lord, You, Lord Glorious over us You shall reign glorious There is a King that we adore With humble hearts we bow before You, Lord There is a place we love to be Yes, face to face we love to see You, Lord, You, Lord

[28:11] Glorious over us Glorious over us You shall reign glorious Glorious over us You shall reign glorious Glorious over us Glorious over us Majesty and power And power Yours alone forever Forever Forever Majesty and power And power And power Yours alone forever Yours alone forever Forever forever Oh, glorious Glorious over us

[29:14] Glorious over us You shall reign glorious You shall reign glorious Glorious over us Glorious over us You shall reign glorious Glorious over us Over over us You shall reign glorious You shall reign glorious Oh, you shall reign You shall reign You shall reign Shall we?

[30:32] Amen. What beautiful music today.

[30:43] Today's reading is from the book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verses 14 through 20. This is why it is said, Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

[30:57] Be very careful, then, how you live, not as unwise, but as wise. Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

[31:07] Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.

[31:26] Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord. Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, this is the word of the Lord.

[31:40] Thanks be to God. I just had a message that Pastor Sherry was taken to urgent care. She has some health concerns. We're not exactly sure what.

[31:51] So I just thought we'd offer a prayer for her if she's on her way to receive medical care. Dear Lord, we just pray for Pastor Sherry that she will have your hand upon her, that you will help her to feel your healing touch, that you'll bless her to get all the care she needs, and that you would revive her spirit and give her strength.

[32:09] In all things, Lord, be a blessing through the people who work with her, through your healing touch, through all that you can do. We thank you for her ministry, Lord, and we pray your blessing on her.

[32:20] In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[32:30] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[33:05] Anyone, amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[33:28] Thank you.

[33:58] Thank you.

[34:28] Thank you.

[34:58] Thank you.

[35:28] Thank you.

[35:58] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

[36:10] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

[36:22] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

[36:36] Thank you. Thank you. meeting? Imagine a four-day business meeting where they argue about every little word and phrase.

[37:04] It's enough to make you insane. It's important stuff. In this passage from Ephesians, it says, be very careful then how you live, not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. The days can be difficult. They can be a struggle.

[37:23] He even talks in here about getting drunk. A lot of us just want to forget and get away from this world, and I want to get away from annual conference. When I go there, I really struggle. I go in, I listen to them arguing back and forth, going on and on and on, and I just, I have to get up and walk away, and I do. I walk out into the fellowship hall and look around for somebody I might see. Pastor Suzanne Block says hello. Pastor Matt Kofall says hello. Even Pastor Chris Hagler says hello. Some of you remember many, many years ago, and it's a great opportunity to renew old friendships and see people. So there's a new pastor going to the Grand Island Church. I'd never met him, so I went over to welcome. I said, welcome, Kevin, to our district, and his wife says, you don't remember me, do you? No, and I know sometimes you all do this to me, which is really, you know, I try.

[38:10] I really try, but you know, she's standing in front of me. I have no idea. She says, well, you were my pastor. I'm like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. 28 years ago, when she was nine years old, I was her pastor.

[38:26] What a wonderful thing to renew acquaintances with somebody I was a pastor with when she was a young girl, and she remembers today. It's a great opportunity to have people come and renew their relationship with us. This is the time of year all our college students come back, and we're so glad to see them back with us in church. Reverend Nicole Henderson is here from Ohio. She's an ordained pastor of a church, two churches in Ohio, and she's brought her little baby. So, you know, just look for Rich and Sally smiling from ear to ear, and you'll know where that's happening. It's great. It's great because relationships are more important than winning. Sometimes relationships are more important than getting it right, and somewhere along the line, we need to remember that, and we need to remember we come to church. See, annual conference is my church. We come to church to gather together to remember who we're in love with, who we're in relationship with, and all the things that separate us are not as important as the things that keep us together. Amen? All the things we might argue about are really not that important when it comes down to being with the people that we love and care about, and that's what making a church is. It's making a community of people that care more for each other than even about always getting it exactly right. In this passage, it says, speak to one another with psalms and hymns and songs from the heart. Sing and make music from your hearts to the Lord. Sing as well as you would if you were singing the shout song at the Bill's Stadium.

[40:10] Jesus makes me want to shout, kick my, right? You know? Can we do that? So, there was another fellow I saw at annual conference. He was about 147 years old, and he's walking out. Now, he's got on a suit and a tie.

[40:23] I've got to tell you, people don't dress much at annual conference. I tend to wear a jacket, and they all think I'm an old man from the 1900s, which I am, but, you know. Here he's coming out. He's impeccably dressed. He's walking out of annual conference. He's got this huge smile on his face, and every step he takes, you'd hear this little noise. You know the noise, I mean. Kind of, kind of, kind of, well, you know. What do they say politely? Passing gas? Yeah.

[40:54] Just walking along. The two ladies next to me, they're like, looking at each other like, oh my gosh, is that really happening? You know? This poor old guy, he's got a grin on his face, smile, smile, smile. Which is what happens, by the way, when that occurs. You do smile, just like babies do. You know, we all do, too. It's a good feeling. It really is, but, you know, we don't do that.

[41:16] I'm like, well, he doesn't care. He's 147 years old. It doesn't matter to him. I leaned over to the ladies. They said, it's the shoes. Well, I knew it wasn't the shoes. But I have to tell you, I looked at that man, and I thought about the frustrations I sometimes have at annual conference, and I thought, wow, if I could be so excited about coming to a place to talk about God, to worship God, to sing God, as this 147-year-old man was, wow, how incredible that would be. And I didn't even care about the noises he was making, because his smile was saying everything. We worry so much about our appearances. In this passage, it says, always give thanks to God, the Father, for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. How great is our God. Sing with me. How great is our God.

[42:21] And all will see how great, how great is our God. Shout out to God, is speaking to God andesty. How great is there, dear God.

[42:49] How great is our God. So, love, my God When a interrogant is falling out, FROM UNOMINESS The ground is falling out from underneath my feet.

[43:07] Between the black skies and my red eyes, I can barely see. When I feel like I've been locked down by my friends and my family, I can hear the rain reminding me.

[43:24] In the eye of the storm, you remain in control. In the middle of the war, you guard my soul.

[43:35] You alone have the anchor when my shells are torn. Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm.

[43:50] One of my hopes and dreams have followed me and I'm running out of faith. I see the future, a picture, slowly fade away.

[44:02] When the tears of pain and heartache are pouring down my face, I find my peace in Jesus' name.

[44:12] In the eye of the storm, you remain in control. In the middle of the war, you guard my soul.

[44:24] You alone have the anchor when my shells are torn. Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm. I am a storm, I am a storm.

[44:36] I am a storm. And they let me go, and I just don't know how I'm gonna make ends meet.

[45:06] I did my best, now I'm scared to death that we might lose everything. When I sit this stage, my child awake, there's nothing I can do.

[45:18] My only hope is to trust you. I trust you, Lord. In the eye of the storm, you remain in control.

[45:31] In the middle of the war, you guard my soul. You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn.

[45:42] Your love surrounds me, in the eye of the storm. You remain in control. In the middle of the war, you guard my soul.

[45:56] You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn. Your love surrounds me, in the eye of the storm.

[46:08] Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

[46:25] Your love makes me sing. Wow, it's great to celebrate God sometimes. This passage says, wake up! Wake up, you sleeper!

[46:37] Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine in you. In the book of Revelations, it talks about the church of Ephesus. And this is what it says that Jesus wrote to the church.

[46:49] I hold this against you. You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen. Repent and do the things you did at first. Wake up!

[47:02] It's time to celebrate our God. We need the blessings of God. We heard a preacher at annual conference that told us how important it was for us to bring back the Spirit of God.

[47:18] But I know the Spirit was there as well. We were singing a song, and I was watching a lady who was sitting in a wheelchair. And she was dancing.

[47:29] Now, maybe you don't understand what chair dancing is, because you probably never got stuck in a chair. But I grew up with a mother who did chair dancing. So I look over, and I see this little lady who's dancing in the chair.

[47:42] And I'm thinking, that's what my mother did. Polio didn't keep her down. Being crippled didn't stop her from being able to celebrate God.

[47:54] All the brokenness and all the pain and all the struggles of your life does not keep the Spirit of God from being able to work in your life. Amen? Because we can celebrate God.

[48:07] It talks about being filled with the Holy Spirit in this chapter, and that the light of God will shine on us. We get so caught up in what they call evil days and think that somehow God is losing, but God's not losing.

[48:23] Do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Don't get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.

[48:35] Listen to God whispering into your life. Music is a wonderful thing. It can actually touch our hearts. But the power in church of music is that it touches something even more important than that.

[49:00] You see, the difference between Christians and people who have no faith is not that we have a religious compass as good as that.

[49:18] It's not that we understand the morals of life as great as that is. It's that we have the living power of God breathing in us. Amen? And it doesn't matter what our brokenness is.

[49:29] It doesn't matter what our pain is. If we listen to God, He will change everything. We have a memorial service at annual conference where we honor the pastors and the pastor spouses who have gone before us in the year that's gone by.

[49:46] My wife's closest friend, my closest friend's wife, died last year. Her name was Shirley. We had her funeral. We've tried to walk through this with Doug.

[49:57] But we are going to honor her at annual conference. And Doug asked us to sit up where the family sit. I've never sat where the family sit. And I don't want to because the only reason I'd have to sit there is because my wife died.

[50:09] You follow? So I'm sitting with a family who's just lost their wife, their grandmother, and sitting next to me is the daughter who lost her mom.

[50:23] Her only mom. She was adopted when she was a little baby. She was chosen by this woman to love. It's an interesting experience.

[50:35] It's a little different than those of us who are naturally born into a family. She was chosen out of the world to be loved when no one wanted to love her. And now her mother is gone.

[50:49] So I'm sitting next to her. And I'm like Uncle Tom, you know. Her, what do you call it, the granddaughter, I guess it's her niece, is sitting next to the man she considers her father.

[51:02] She can't sit next to him, so she's sitting next to me. And, you know, there were times when I'd put my arm around her. There were times when I'd try to console her.

[51:15] But the most powerful thing that happened was in the midst of all this grief and loss and struggle, when it came time to sing the songs, I heard this sweet little voice singing.

[51:28] Oh, it wasn't one of those voices where we all go, Wow, do they have a voice? They should be on that voice show. You know, they're not that kind of voice. Just a sweet, I love God, even in the midst of this kind of a voice.

[51:44] I have to tell you, it was hard for me to keep the tears from coming. I couldn't, actually. And I told her afterwards, they said, When I heard you singing, I could hear your mom singing.

[51:57] I don't know if I ever heard her mom singing. But it seemed the right thing to say. This little girl. So in the midst of our brokenness, our struggle, our worries, our pains, our troubles, the darkness of these evil times, we sing, Hallelujah.

[52:14] Hallelujah. Your love makes me sing. I don't know if Pastor Lisa even knows this. When we approved all the people being commissioned, they used a word like, Amen, Praise the Lord, something like that.

[52:26] When they got to her most appropriate word, they said, Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It's your time. Your time to sing.

[52:37] I invite you, if you're able to stand as we're going to sing, How Great is Our God. Splendor of the King Holy Majesty.

[52:57] Holy Majesty. Let all the earth rejoice. All the earth rejoice.

[53:10] He wraps itself in light. And darkness tries to hide. And trembles at His voice.

[53:22] And trembles at His voice. How great is our God. Sing with me, How great is our God.

[53:37] And all will see how great. How great is our God. He will be the Lord.

[53:47] How great is our God. How great is our God. How great is our God. Age to age He stands. And time is in His hands.

[54:00] Begin and the end. Begin and the end. In God and three in one.

[54:12] Father, Spirit, Son, The Lion and the Lamb. The Lion and the Lamb.

[54:24] How great is our God. Sing with me, Our great is our God.

[54:34] And all will see how great. How great is our God. God. Name above all wings.

[54:52] You are worthy of all praise. And my heart will sing. How great is our God.

[55:06] How great is our God. Sing with me, How great is our God.

[55:18] God will sing. How great is our God.

[55:28] How great, how great is our God Your love is amazing, steady and unchanging Your love is a mountain, but it might be Your love is a mystery, how you gently lift me When I am surrounded, your love carries me Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Your love makes me sing

[56:32] Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Your love makes me sing Your love is surprising, I can feel it rising All the joy that's growing deep inside of me Every time I see you, all your goodness shines through I can feel this God song rising up in me Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Your love makes me sing Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

[57:33] Your love makes me sing Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Your love makes me sing I like a prayer Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Your love makes me sing The power of a song is that we pray both with words and with music To God Almighty Today I know that we all have brokenness There's things in our lives that we know are not right Things that need to be changed Things that need to be fixed And I'll tell you the truth I've learned over life that I can't fix it I need something greater than me To fix it So this is the time we turn it all over to God And I invite you, if you want to To join us in a prayer to God

[58:34] Dear God in heaven I have sinned I'm broken And you know the ways Repair me, Lord Forgive me Make me what I need to be Help me to see the joy Help me to see the wonder And the blessing in my life And push out the frustration Push out the frustration And the pain And the pain And the hurt And the hurt Especially what I've caused Especially what I've caused Change me, Lord Change me, Lord In Jesus' name we pray In Jesus' name we pray Amen Amen God decided to repair you Before you walked into the church You know, he made that decision Before you were born He decided to love you In the glory itself

[59:35] So I can say with total confidence In the name of Jesus Christ Your sins are forgiven In the name of Jesus Christ Your sins are forgiven Glory to God Amen And now as forgiven children of God Let's greet one another With the Spirit of God Good morning, Judith Fox, Dominique The Lord The Lord God We Too The Lord We Todd The Lord OBS

[60:35] My Jesus, my Savior Lord, there is none like you All of my days I want to praise The wonders of your mighty love My comfort, my shelter Tower of refuge and strength That every friend, all that I am Never seems to worship you

[61:41] Shout to the Lord on the earth Never sing Power and majesty Praise to the King Mountains bow down And the seas will roar At the sound of your name I sing the joy And the work of your hands Forever I love you Forever I'll stand Nothing compares to the promise I promise I am in you My Jesus, my Savior Lord, there is none like you All of my days I want to praise The wonders of your mighty love

[62:46] My comfort, my shelter Tower of refuge and strength That every friend, all that I am Never seems to worship you Shout to the Lord on the earth Let us sing Power and majesty Praise to the King Mountains bow down And the seas will roar At the sound of your name I sing the joy At the work of your hands Forever I'll love you Forever I'll stand Nothing compares to the promise I am in you

[63:48] Amen, amen That song says Forever I'll love you Forever I'll stand Forever I'll stand Do you love Jesus this morning? Amen Would you say it out loud?

[64:01] I love you, Jesus! I love you, Jesus! Amen, amen Sometimes it's so hard to say those words That mean so much to someone Three simple little words I love you But to say I love you, Jesus Now here's a question for you Are you happy to say I love you, Jesus?

[64:20] In front of anybody Amen I love it Let's practice it one more time I love you, Jesus! I love you, Jesus! Yes, and don't you be afraid to share that love Wherever you go Because people need to know of the great love of Jesus People need to know the love of Jesus In your heart And have it pour out into their lives They need to know the reason you have love and joy They need to know the reason is Jesus Not just that you happen to be in a good mood Right?

[64:52] And God invites us to show us how much God loves us He has invited us to the table So if we love God If we repent of our sin And we seek to live in peace as a disciple of Jesus Christ We are welcome to come to the table We are welcome to participate in church In what it means to be part of the body of Christ The family of God Everyone is welcome Even if you've never set foot in a church in your whole life Or if it's your first time in this church in particular We don't have any rules about that as United Methodists United Methodist Church We just welcome everybody Everybody who wants to come So come to the table Come partake of the sacrament Come and celebrate all that God has done in Christ for us The Lord be with you

[65:55] And also with you Lift up your hearts We lift up to the Lord Let us give thanks to the Lord our God We decide to give our thanks and praise It is right And a good and joyful thing always and everywhere To give thanks to you Father Almighty Creator of heaven and earth In the beginning your spirit moved over the face of the waters You formed us in your image And breathed into us the breath of life When we turned away And our love failed Your love remained steadfast And so with your people on earth and all the company of heaven We praise your name and join their unending hymn Holy Holy Holy Lord God of power and might Heaven and earth are full of your glory Hosanna in the highest Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord Hosanna in the highest Holy are you and blessed is your son Jesus Christ At his baptism in the Jordan Your spirit descended upon him

[66:58] And declared him your beloved son With your spirit upon him He turned away the temptation of sin Your spirit anointed him to preach good news to the poor To proclaim release to the captives And recovering of sight to the blind To set at liberty those who are oppressed And to announce that the time had come When you would save your people He healed the sick fed the hungry and ate with sinners By the baptism of his suffering death and resurrection You gave birth to your church Delivered us from slavery to sin and death And made with us a new covenant by water And the spirit And when the Lord Jesus ascended He promised to be with us always Baptizing us with the Holy Spirit and with fire Just like on the day of Pentecost On the night in which he gave himself up for us He took bread and he gave thanks to you He broke the bread And he gave it to his disciples

[68:01] He said take and eat This is my body Which is given for you Do this in remembrance of me And when the supper was over And when the supper was over He took the cup He gave you thanks and praise And gave it to his disciples He said drink from this all of you This is the cup of my blood The blood of the new covenant Poured out for you and for many For the forgiveness of sin Do this as often as you drink it In remembrance of me And so in remembrance of these Your mighty acts in Jesus Christ We offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving As a holy and living sacrifice In union with Christ's offering for us As we proclaim the mystery of faith Christ has died Christ is risen

[69:03] Christ will come again Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here And on these gifts of bread and wine Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ That we may be for the world The body of Christ redeemed by his blood And empowered by the gifts of the Spirit By your Spirit make us one with Christ One with each other and one in ministry to all the world Showing forth the fruit of the Spirit Until Christ comes in final victory And we feast at his heavenly banquet Through your son Jesus Christ With the Holy Spirit in your holy church All honor and glory is yours All mighty Father Now and forever Amen Shall we pray together with the confidence Of dearly loved children of God The prayer Jesus taught us Our Father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread

[70:07] And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil For thine is the kingdom And the power And the glory forever and ever Amen Will those who are serving this morning Come forward都有 long
