Advent 2020

Description

Many, many things are different this year because of the global pandemic, but one thing that has not changed is our desire to celebrate our Savior's birth with word and song! While we were not able to bring together our wonderful choir and orchestra this year, we can still worship our Lord together - in a new way.

We will be showing 2019's Cantata, "MESSIAH - Heaven's Glory," online. We will have a new intro from Pastor Cathy and Kelli Putney - and as is our tradition - we encourage you to have your favorite Christmas cookies on hand to celebrate after the concert!

The presentation is a combination of selections from Handel's Messiah, popular Christmas carols, and contemporary praise songs. As we celebrate all that Christmas involves - from the carols to the cookies to the presents - may we remember that Christmas is really about the greatest gift God has ever given us, His one and only son, Jesus Christ.

[22:29] Messiah, long, long, long, and you, you know, wrapped in a, you know,

[24:29] Christ, the Savior is born.

[24:59] Silent night, you know, holy infant, you know, Christ, you know,

[26:29] Christ, the Savior is born.

[26:59] Jesus, God, you know, God, God, God, and you, you know, you're, you know, Thank you, you're worthy, know, June, and you're alone.

[28:29] Holy night. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

[29:20] He's the door. He's the gate and the living water. The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lamb of God, and the light of the world, our great high priest and a good shepherd.

[29:44] He's the word made flesh and ultimately King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

[29:56] Thank you. In the bleak midwinter, all creation groans.

[30:25] For a world in darkness, frozen like a stone, light is breaking in a stable for a throne.

[30:44] For a world in darkness, forevermore.

[31:21] If I were a wise man, I would travel far.

[31:32] If I were a shepherd, I would do my part. But poor as I am, I will give to him my heart.

[31:46] And he shall reign forevermore, forevermore. And he shall reign forevermore.

[32:02] Here within the manger lies the one who made the starry skies. This baby born for sacrifice, Christ the Messiah.

[32:16] Into our hopes, into our fears, the Savior of the world appears. The promise of eternal years. The Savior of the world appears. The promise of eternal years. Christ the Messiah. Christ the Messiah. He shall reign, He shall reign forevermore. He shall reign forevermore. He shall reign.

[32:27] The Valer, the Lord, the Lord, the creation died. And he shall reign of theoshi til end. What shall count as brothers and sons of heaven.

[32:52] forevermore, forevermore.

[33:22] To us a child is born, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and he shall reign forevermore, forevermore.

[33:37] And he shall reign forevermore, forevermore.

[33:52] The message of the angel to the shepherds hasn't changed.

[34:15] A savior has been born for us. We only need to fall in worship before him, trusting and receiving Jesus as Lord and King.

[34:45] God of love, God of light, hear our cry, make us cry.

[35:13] Though we come in deepest need, there is grace when we believe.

[35:28] Christ the Savior is born. Christ the Savior is born.

[35:42] Oh God, you worship the gift so glorious, taking the wonder of Jesus, God with us.

[36:00] Jesus, God with us. The first Noel the angels did say, was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay.

[36:26] In fields where they lay keeping their sheep, on a cold winter's night that was so vain.

[36:40] Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, born is the King of Israel.

[36:54] And the King of Israel. The King of Israel. The King of Israel. The life of that sin's joy The wise men came from God's tree home To see for me was there in death And to follow the star that ever it may And let us all with one accord Sing praises to our heavenly Lord The heavenly earth and earth of God

[37:54] And with his blood and kind of Lord Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel Born is the King of Israel Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel Born is the King Born is the King Born is the King For Israel Born is the King Is there a sweeter name to the believer's ear than the name of Jesus?

[39:00] It's comfort and healing Glory and majesty We sing it in praise And we whisper it in reverence It's the name we lift up today And the one we'll worship forever Jeremiah Moore漂 Amen.

[40:13] What a beautiful name it is, what a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus Christ my King.

[40:25] What a beautiful name it is, nothing compares to this. What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus.

[40:43] You didn't want heaven without us, so Jesus you brought heaven down.

[40:56] My sin was greater, love was greater, what could separate us now? What a beautiful name it is, what a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus Christ my King.

[41:19] What a wonderful name it is, nothing compares to this. What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus.

[41:31] What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus. What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus Christ my King.

[41:43] What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus Christ my King. What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus Christ my King.

[41:57] praise making Oh Oh

[43:27] Every Christmas is an opportunity to remember what happened that night long ago But when the season ends When the day has passed When the decorations are stored away for another year What we have because of Jesus our Messiah burns as bright as ever We can have peace with God Because the newborn King became the Lamb of Atonement We can have eternity with Him Because the baby in the manger became the resurrection and the life His coming is a message of heaven's glory for everyone

[44:32] And the Thank you.

[45:13] Lord to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth receive her King.

[45:29] Let every heart prepare Him room. And let nature sing.

[45:42] And let nature sing. And let nature sing.

[45:54] He rules the world with truth and grace. And makes the nations prove.

[46:11] The glories of His righteousness. And wonders of His love.

[46:23] And wonders of His love. And wonders of His love.

[46:34] And wonders of His love. Emmanuel, Emmanuel.
